the hotel is in a very convenient location above the train station. it made it easy to get around. the rooms have excellent soundproofing. i could not hear any noise from the station in my beautiful twin room club lounge access non-smoking (which was great). the room also included cleansing oil and facial cleanser.
the check-in process was not smooth. i had to wait, though the lobby looks nice. the staff seemed a bit rigid about the check-in time. i asked about paying extra for early access, but they didn't seem to understand. the hotel bar wasn't open (i wanted to relax with a drink while i waited).

the location is fantastic! it sits right above the railway station, so day trips are simple. i found fantastic restaurants within the hotel and nearby.. cafes, restaurants, and bars were all close.
access to the hotel is directly through the north-south passageway outside the shinkansen gates. it is a bit of a walk and those with strollers might take longer to get there. i stayed when there was a problem with the shinkansen, and all trains faced delays.
